3/24/2024 0 Comments Ps4 playroom mobile appI didn't feel like there was any new ground broken with "Knack" based on my short time with it, but considering I only had a short amount of time with it I can't really claim much either way. It was a platformer meant more to show off as much of the new hardware's power as anything else. "Knack" is 100% a mix of "Metal Arms: Glitch In The System" and "Kameo: Elements Of Power." "Kameo," as those of you Xboxers out there will remember, was an Xbox 360 launch title that was good, but not great. The last game I dabbled with was " Knack," which Sony bills as "a mesh between a Pixar-like family film and the character-action games." Next up was the arcade game " RESOGUN," a classic-style shooter that reminded me of a hybrid between " Geometry Wars," " Pacman DX," and a touch of " Galaga Legions DX." It looked OK, not spectacular and it played like an addictive "I want to get the highest score!" arcade shooter should, with simple controls and objectives. This is a game that will look better than anything on the current generation of consoles. There is no stuttering, no alaising or screen tearing, the vistas are really crisp, detailed, and sharp and the lighting is spectacular. What you do notice is a lack of issues at a really high quality graphic standard. Not that it didn't look fantastic - it did - but like when the PS3 and Xbox 360 were first released, they were a step up from the Xbox and PS2, but it took a while for developers to really harness all the juice under the hood. The next generation of console is definitely a step up from the last. This being the first PS4 game I've gotten my hands on, the first thing I noticed was the crispness of the graphics. Announced as the successor to PS3 in February, it will launch on 15 November in North America and 29 November in Europe.Account icon An icon in the shape of a person's head and shoulders. PS4 is an upcoming video game console from Sony. Users can draw pictures on their mobile screens and flick them toward the TV, making the images appear as a 3D object within the game. The app will also notify users about their friends' shared activities on What's New, as well as notifying PS4 users about notifications or game invitations.Īs for that second-screen feature, users can install the PlayStation app on their mobile devices and then use them as a second screen for supported games. Other features available as part of the PlayStation app include the ability to access profile screens and filter friend profiles on PSN(SM), spectate other PS4 users' gameplay and purchase game content on the PlayStation Store. It will also open some PSN(SM) features like Friend Lists, Trophies, the ability to exchange messages with members of their Friends List and browse through information on the official PlayStation website, etc. The new app is iOS and Android compatible, and once installed will allow mobile devices to be used as second screens for PS4 titles.
